CRM REINFORCED PLASTERS

The reinforced plaster systems CRM (Composite Reinforced Mortar) represents the modern evolution of the traditional reinforced plaster method. In recent decades, the technique of reinforcing load-bearing masonry structures using reinforced plaster made of fine-grained concrete, often cement-based, reinforced with electro-welded steel mesh, has become widespread. Over the years, this technique has shown its limitations and has often proven damaging to the existing structure. With the new CRM reinforced plaster systems from the Olympus STONE it is possible to carry out interventions compatible with masonry and which do not present any particular critical issues. By definition, a CRM system has a thickness between 30 and 50 mm, net of any leveling of the substrate.

Certified CVT systems

The CRM reinforced plaster systems of the OLYMPUS STONE line comply with the specifications of the CSLLPP Guidelines “Guideline for the identification, qualification and acceptance control of preformed mesh systems in fibre-reinforced composite materials with a polymer matrix to be used for the structural consolidation of existing buildings with the CRM (Composite Reinforced Mortar) reinforced plaster technique.” The OLYMPUS STONE line systems are CVT 257-2022 certified

CE marked systems via ETA

The OLOYMPUS STONE systems have obtained European Technical Assessment (ETA) no. 23/0758, issued in accordance with reference document EAD 340392-00-0104, relating to CRM systems for structural consolidation. This ETA certifies the system's compliance with the performance requirements and reliability criteria established at the European level.

Consolidation of CRM masonry elements

  • 1
Masonry panels → shear and flexural reinforcement for in-plane actions of the masonry
  • 2
Masonry panels → shear and flexural reinforcement for out-of-plane actions
  • 3
Masonry macro-elements → prevention of local collapse mechanisms
  • 4
    Masonry columns → confinement

Demolition of the existing plaster until reaching the masonry surface for the portion to be reinforced and/or reconstruction of any missing masonry parts thorough cleaning of dust, oils and paints from the wall support on which the reinforcement system is to be applied (to be paid separately) washing and wetting the surface until saturation trowel application of a first layer of lime-based structural mortar such as OLY WALL STRUKTURA 15 following the instructions in the technical data sheet for a thickness of approximately 15 mm application of the preformed bidirectional fibreglass mesh type OLY MESH GLASS on the previously laid layer of mortar ensuring an overlap of at least 15 cm Insertion of the OLY ROD GLASS L connectors into the designated holes and sealing them with OLY RESIN epoxy resin completion of the reinforcement by applying with a trowel or spray a further layer of OLY WALL STRUKTURA 15 lime-based structural mortar for a total reinforcement thickness of 30 mm, incorporating the mesh and connectors previously applied
